350 g. retail bag. Bright red fruit, juicy, creamy. This is a great coffee grown from 100% Bourbon heirloom varietal. As a result, the coffee has sweet red fruit, juicy sweetness, delicate full-body, and a nice long clean finish. It is high grown in the mountains of Burundi at 1,760 meters above sea level (5,720 feethigh for most coffee but perfect for Bourbon). Here is some more information from the importer about the Womens Cooperative that grew the coffee. This lot is produced by 508 farmers who belong to the International Women in Coffee Association (IWCA). These farmers bring their coffee cherry to the Karehe Washing Station for processing and drying. Our lot is a combination of 6-day lots that were delivered to the washing station and blended together. Karehe has historically done well at the Cup of Excellence national competition, submitting coffees that have placed in the top six with average scores totaling 88+ points. In 2011, IWCA opened a chapter in Burundi. IWCA is an organization that focuses on empowering women in coffee producing countries and has 19 chapters around the world. The Burundi chapters mission is to improve womens skills through training and information to enhance their role in Burundian society...and in the coffee sector. The chapter pays premiums to members and has increased the visibility of farmer members to buyers. In addition, members have participated in food security projects and received coffee roasting equipment donated by our partner at origin. Farmers have relied on coffee production as a way to rebuild the country after decades of civil war and genocide that occurred in the 1970s and 1990s. Coffee is the 1 export for the country and its exportation has a major impact on the countrys economic viability.

La Minita has been one of our most consistently exceptional coffees since Bill McAlpin first brought his farm's coffee up to the US in 1988. Although our availability has been more limited recently, the quality we buy is still the very best. Like you would expect from La Minita, this coffee is bright and full bodied, with a sweet, lasting finish. The longer, less aggressive sun drying process also yields additional complexity to this classic cup.

350 g. retail bag. The Zelaya family in Guatemala has decades of experience producing amazing coffees. We're proud to offer this classically sweet Guatemala Antigua of theirs. Cupping notes: Chocolate, orange, and caramel.

350 g. retail bag. Blackberry, juicy plum, and Bordeaux. Notes of blackberry in the fragrance and sweet fruit in the cup make this Kenya a joy to drink.

350 g. retail bag. Green apple, sweet, and balanced. We're happy to have Papua New Guinea AA from Sigri Estate back in stock. The Sigri Estate produces some of our favorite and most consistent coffee. This lot is a well-balanced coffee, with a full-body, delicate sweetness, and smooth finish perfect for drinking all day long.

350 g. retail bag. Thick, syrupy; smooth and intensely full-bodied. Hint of earthiness. Sumatra Mandheling is low in acidity and takes on the earthiness of its surroundings. Sumatra is the world's most full-bodied coffee. We have been purchasing Sumatran coffee since we opened and this one is a very nice and archetypal Sumatran coffee. It is rustic and herbal, with a syrupy and heavy body. Mandheling style coffees come from Aceh and other northern parts of the island.

350 g. retail bag. Crisp, sweet, full bodied, with a bright finish. Beowulf blend is Oren's espresso blend. It brews an incredibly long-flavored espresso that's exceptionally full-bodied and sweet. If you've invested in a high-end espresso machine, this blend will make you glad you spent every penny. Beowulf is made up of Colombia, Kenya, and Burundi and the coffees are roasted together. Although it is similar in color to a Viennese roast, our espresso roast is specifically crafted to produce a sweet and clean shot. Our Beowulf blend also makes an excellent drip coffee the perfect end to a nice meal.

350 g. retail bag. Medium body with a very smooth finish. The City Blend is our lightest roast. It is blended from 2 fine varietals. They're not just blend 1/2 and 1/2. Rather, they're blended in a 70%, 30% proportion. The special proportions of this blend create a surprising complexity to this medium-bodied coffee. It's one of our few blends that is pre-blended before roasting.

350 g. retail bag. Intense, full-bodied, fragrant, bittersweet. Our classic sweet and balanced Colombia roasted to accentuate more intense chocolate notes. A powerfully dark roast, but with enough finesse in roasting to yield a complex cup.

A combination of beans that come from three vastly different regions of the world, this brew- like New York City has many diverse aspects: a huge aroma, yet a cup that is full-bodied, while at the same time ever so sweet, 1/4 Papua New Guinea; 1/4 Ethiopia Yirgacheffe; 1/2 Colombia.

350 g. retail bag. Sweet, full-bodied and smooth. Some dark-roast flavor with caramel tones. Our house blend has a unique sweetness that is enhanced by its full body. The cup is complex, yet smooth. Intriguing. Full of flavor subtleties such that people come to enjoy this coffee more each time. 1/3 Colombia; 1/3 Sumatra Mandheling; 1/3 French roast.

350 g. retail bag. Sweet floral fragrance, notes of ripe plum and honey, and a bright juicy acidity. Penelopes Blend is crafted with a delicate balance in mind. This blend is sweet and fragrant from the Colombia, floral and light honey from the Guatemala, and the Burundi provides just enough bright acidity without being overpowering. A blend that is worth an odyssey. This blend also works well as a modern light roast espresso a much brighter and citrus forward counterpoint to our Beowulf house espresso.

350 g. retail bag. Oren's cinnamon coffee with its hint of spice is perfect for a special brunch and makes a great gift. Our cinnamon coffee bursts with flavor. We add freshly cracked real cinnamon to our freshly roasted beans. What a difference!

350 g. retail bag. The Italian roast is our darkest roast. But unlike many Italian Roasts, Oren's is not over-roasted (which deadens the flavor). Our Italian roast is still a medium to full-bodied brew with all the subtle flavors enhanced. Our Italian roast is made with Guatemala Antigua, Colombia, and Burundi.
